Work Experience

Special Collections Assistant at UF Smathers Library East, 2017-present

  • Created and maintained library finding aids and databases.

  • Streamlined collections relocation project, from inventory to cataloging and shelving.

  • Organized and integrated existing databases to new formats.

  • Shelved and pulled materials according to call number systems.

  • Organized and preserved incoming archival materials, ranging from manuscripts, photographs, negatives, and slides

  • Assisted patrons with reference guidance and retrieving items.

Volunteer Collections Assistant for the Florida Museum of Natural History, 2016-2017

  • Photographed specimens in specific format for the museum’s research and online database

  • Delicately excavate and clean fossils from the surrounding area with tools for the collections

  • Assemble and preserve fossils through cleaning and gluing so that they can be added to the archives

Student Ambassador for the University of Florida’s College of the Arts, 2015-2017

  • Coordinate with advising faculty to lead tours and presentations to prospective students

  • Lead tours of parents and students to inform them of the details of enrollment at UF

  • Answer questions of students and parents regarding details of campus life and degree requirements

  • Reach out to current UF students to give them class advice and registration tips

  • Contribute to faculty discussions as student representative
